In 1959, the Village of Carol Stream was incorporated by its founder and developer Jay Stream. Since its incorporation 45 years ago, the Village has continued to grow and prosper each year by following a progressive land use development plan, which has resulted in controlled orderly growth. Today, the Village is home to 762 businesses and industries and 43,730 residents in 15,077 dwelling units.
